I think I have confused us both. If there is no relationship between BUS and CONT there can be no relationship between BUS and OCCU. However there can be a relationship between BUS and CONT with no relationship between CONT and OCCU. The last one is the one i'm looking for. On 2/8/07, John Joiner <john@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:
Maybe I'm all wet, but... BUS has a relationship with CONT and CONT has a relationship with OCCU, but there is no direct relationship between BUS and OCCU. You can't get from BUS to OCCU without a CONT, so if there are BUS records without associated CONTs, do those BUS records have associated OCCU records? Seems to me that all you can do if figure out what is common between BUS and CONT (inner join), then find the BUS without an OCCU (exception join).
