Jeff,

I use the following which seems to work well.

dcl &cmd *char 120

STRPCO PCTA(*NO)
MONMSG IWS4010
CHGVAR &CMD +
  VALUE('rundll32.exe url.dll,FileProtocolHandler ' *bcat +
'http://www.site.com')
STRPCCMD PCCMD(&cmd) PAUSE(*no)

Subject: Launch a URL from RPGLE

I am attempting to launch the web browser and go to a specific URL from
within a RPGLE program.
The application will always be connected via iSeries Access.
I tried to use STRPCO and STRPCCMD, but it did not launch.
The command I used was STRPCCMD 'http://www.google.com' pause(*no).
I saw a window pop up briefly, then it just went away.
What is the correct method for doing this?

Thanks,
