BTW,

I've got a steak dinner at the Orange County Mining Company during COMMON in Anaheim to the first person that can show me how to do this in AIX/linux or Windows

well, it depends...

what kind of data is the spool file?

If you can do a cpysplf of the data into a physical file...you can maybe
redeam yourself..

CRTPF lib/name recl(n+1 - where n is the record length of the spool file.
cpysplf name/job/num splfnam numbr TO(lib/name) splctl(*fcfc)

Then do an OVRPRTF with your overlay and use splctl(*fcfc)
cpyf from the lib/name above to that printer file and see if you got
lucky... Haven't done this in a while, but last I checked it should work.
