Tokenizer. Harrumph. Is that anything like a scanner?

I've missed most of this thread, but I can say that I'vewritten 2 recursive-descent parsers in ILE RPG. Both ofthem call scanners written in C (for speed of execution,and for easier access to IFS STMFs). One of them runs as atrigger program.

What is the point of ILE, anyway, if you aren't writingmixed-language programs, that bring the strengths of eachlanguage to bear?
