What STDERR? Is that anything like registering an error handler in ILE? Note: For better handling of errors than QCMDEXC look at QCAPCMD. system() is nice but even QCMDEXC can show you more error detail (by looking in the program status data structure). QCAPCMD http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/iseries/v5r4/topic/rbam6/excmd.htm Even though it is called a "command analyzer", and it mighty cool for prompting commands to be stored in a menu system, it also can be told to actually execute those commands.
