Phil,
I have worked with several forms packages in my practice. Part of the clients 
selection processes have been driven by
price which is not the best decision making metric.  

Establish your goals, listen to the presentations relative to those goals, and 
then expand your goals in conjunction
with total capabilities of the vendor's software.

Once you make a decision there will be a learning curve no matter which 
solution you select.
