Rob/Vern/Paul/Joe/Birgitta: Thanks for all the helpful suggestions. If I understand Vern's select, it will create 1 record with 24 columns (or 48 if I split year and month into separate fields). What I was hoping for was 24 records, each with a year/month. Birgitta's solution gives 24 records...just what I need! Thanks again...at the very least I am expanding my knowledge of SQL...always a plus.
