Scott, the apache config tells the browser where to find the file, not windows networking. this code can be run from outside the network (as long as the apache server can be reached from outside), and adobe opens inside the new browser window as a plugin, not as a stand alone windows app. I won't pretend this is the only way, or even the best way of doing it, but it's worked for me before and it's all I've got in my code snippets library about .pdfs that I've used before. Except now you're requiring Windows Networking to be configured and working in addition to HTTP? If you must do this, why bother with the Javascript? Why not simply send the Location: header back? -- This is the RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries (RPG400-L) mailing list To post a message email: RPG400-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/rpg400-l or email: RPG400-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/rpg400-l.
