Do you mean that you don't still have all that food in storage ?
I still have my flashlight that the hotel in Florida gave me. Kind of
cool....

Does anyone know IBM's intention for dealing with *MDY range?
I thought I heard somewhere we would be able (future) to control the
range (like maybe a system value?) to make the 1940 - 2039 changeable.

I've had problems in doing the change as you go method, when dates
entered in *USA or *ISO are later run through some batch or print
process that moves it to *MDY and halts. Have had to edit for *MDY limits
for all date entries, including imported data from other systems.

I'll be 82...if I'm not dead, I for sure won't be caring. :)

Hey, by the time 2039 rolls around, someone will have figured out how to
handle it. Won't they??

What's odd though, is that if you look at a true *MDY date type the
low value is 01/01/40 and the hi value is 12/31/39. We know this
means 1940 through 2039, but it could really be confusing, and
possibly disastrous,
if
using *MDY dates as ranges.

Can someone tell me what the max range is for a MDY date? IE: 1900 -

Some of our programs still use six digit dates (Yes, I know we should
be converting them but that's not my decision and considering the
number of programs involved it would take a huge amount of time and
resources) and
I
need to trap for max dates that are allowable in a *USA format but
are invalid for a *MDY
