If you're creating and populating the user space, you get to decide how (or if) the data is structured, and unless somebody else has to read it, you don't even have to tell anybody else what structure (if any) you've given the data.
Now program associated spaces, on the other hand, THEY are a total <female canid> to work with, and I don't recommend you start until you've mastered user spaces.
