Hello Mark,

- You could use the Open List of Jobs (QGYOLJOB) API to list all subsystem
monitor jobs (jobtype "M") and ask the API to sort on job number in
ascending order. That way the first subsystem monitor job returned would
name the first subsystem that was started during the previous IPL - or in
other words the current controlling subsystem.

I've written a small sample program to demonstrate the above technique,
