<snip>
Instead of using the CRTDUPOBJ for work files in qtemp I'm trying
this...

C/EXEC SQL
C+ CREATE TABLE QTEMP/LLM43CWK
C+ (PART CHAR (8),
C+  DESC CHAR (25),
C/END-EXEC
</snip>

Instead of using a create table, use a declare global. Creates much
faster and is much faster. The table is automatically created in QTEMP.
This is a V5R2 feature I believe.

     C/Exec SQL
     C+ Declare Global Temporary Table TempError
     C+                  ( MsgID    Dec(7,0)  Not Null with Default ,
     C+ MsgType Char(32) Not Null with Default ,
     C+ MsgText Char(1024) Not Null with Default )
     C/End-Exec

Note the reference to QTEMP. This can be any SQL operation. I am just
copying a Insert operation.
     C/Exec SQL
     C+  Insert into  Qtemp/TempError
     C+ Select MSID, MSTYPE, MSTEXT from WXMSGAP
     C+      Where MSID = :pMSID
     C/End-Exec
