OVRDSPF Maximum record wait time . . . . WAITRCD -or- Another technique can be used by reading from a DataQ instead. It is possible to associate a DataQ with a display file. Read from the DataQ with a wait time (1800 seconds in your example). On a successful read, read the waiting record in the display file. On a time out 'go into Last Record mode and end'. However, in the past, they have not been able to use the system values that pertain to ending sessions after a certain time has passed and a key was not hit. I would like to do something like this in the RPG program. If a user is sitting on a screen for a long time, to be determines, lets say over 30 minutes, w/out doing anything, the RPG program should then go into Last Record mode and end. The program in question is basically a reprint program so there is not an issue of file updates. I cannot locate the correct method that would handle this in RPG. Perhaps someone can point me in the right direction. Phil This message contains information proprietary to our company.
