Perhaps, but I'm doing it for very good reason.

*OMIT and *NOPASS are two very different things, used for very different
reasons, that work in very different ways.

Unfortunately, many are not clear on the differences.  By using improper
terminology, we confuse the issue even more.

The point is *OMIT and *NOPASS are not two different ways to make a
parameter optional.  *NOPASS means the procedure considers the parameter
optional, *OMIT means that the procedure considers a NULL pointer valid
for that parameter.

I often code parameters as options(*NOPASS:*OMIT).
