I use the following fetch statement that returns a null if the decimals
field is invalid.

fetch next from c3 into :colname,     :datatype, :length,
                        :decimals:n1, :fldtext,  :colhdg

n1 is defined as 4b 0

Hi!

We are converting S/36 data files to native files and we want to test
invalid numeric data errors in our converted files within a SQLRPGLE
program. What is the best way to do so? Is there any scalar function that
returns NULL if the content of a numeric field is invalid?
