Hi Roger,

No way to include subprocedure calls in Navigator (that I know of).

The one benefit that Navigator has over the outline view is that, for
subroutines, you can see the calling structure. Not much benefit if you are
only using subprocedures <g> but kinda handy for deciphering those old
legacy monsters.

I think the labs are working on a version of Navigator for the LPEX editor
in RSE so maybe it will include the subprocedure calls.

Agreed that it does not provide a real full blown flowchart - third party
product required for that. But, assuming a structured approach to programs,
is a full flowchart required?

Besides the topology command from the Services menu (which is not a flow
chart) is there a way to get the Navigator function to show which
subprocedures call which subprocedures instead of just showing which
(sub-)procedures call which subroutines?

From my perspective, the default flow chart offers limited
functionality. It is much simpler to navigate using the WDSC Outline
view (even with the extremely long time it takes to rebuild the view for
long members). A real flow chart that shows looping and decision
constructs, etc., Code Navigator is not.

The Navigator function in the CODE editor will do it for you.

Can somebody tell me about tool that can be used to automatically
generate flow chart from RPG source Code? Am aware of X-Analysis, apart
from X-Analysis do we have any other tool that can perform this
function.
