Your correct. Programmers with iSeries background have the 10 character limit deeply imbedded in the subconscious and limit themselves to 10 without thinking and create a table named EMPMASTER. Programmers from other platforms are the ones more likely to create a table named "Employee Master File" which might then become "Empl0001".

I think he is talking about the situations where no one counted the characters in the first place and did a straight CREATE TABLE IAMMORETHAN10... Rob Berendt
