Yeah,

SF99529 level 70.
SF99503 level 8
SF99314 level 2
SF99269 level 9
SF99099 level 7

I guess we're in need of an update.

SF99530 is a cume. Not necessarily the latest cume. :-) Do the
following:
WRKPTFGRP
The latest cume for V5R3 is: 6178 which roughly stands for 6=2006,
178=Julian date 178 of that year
http://www-912.ibm.com/a_dir/as4ptf.
nsf/a18db68aae4a7d81862566ba005d145c/19709e6bb455ea7a86256ead001605a2?
OpenDocument
Now, I forget which release of WRKPTFGRP first started listing the
cume.
You may have to do a
DSPPTF 5722999
Then your first one should be TL06178.

The groups, and their levels, that I would be concerned about for this
problem are:
 SF99529: 530 Group Hiper                  Level 100
 SF99503: 530 DB2 UDB for iSeries          Level 13
 SF99314: 530 TCP/IP Group PTF             Level 8
 SF99269: 530 Java                         Level 12
 SF99099: 530 IBM HTTP Server for iSeries Level 11

Okay, stupid question. Where do I found if I'm update to date with
these
ptfs (this is new to me)? I think the last one we have is SF99530.

I was seeing heap operation errors a couple of months ago on some
http
stuff. I applied the latest HTTP, database and group ptfs and it
seemed
to fix it. At least I haven't seen it since. This was on V5R3.

Subject: Free Java Objects In RPG

Good morning all,

I'm having trouble with one of CGI Web RPG programs. This particular
web
program is using java to get data from a windows machine. At the
start
of
the program, I start my grouping of java objects.

 temp = BldJavaStr('a');
 env = getJniEnv();
 beginObjGroup (env : 10000);

Then go on to execute my custom java apps to retrieve the data.

When finished, I free my object group.

endObjGroup (env);
freeLocalRef (env : temp);

This works most of the time, however there are times when I get the
following messages in the job log...

The requested heap space operation is invalid.
The pointer parameter passed to free or realloc is not valid.

These don't stop the program from running, however, there are times a
system error will pop up (this doesn't occur on every run) and cause
the
program to stop running.

Does anyone have experience with this error message? I thought it
had
something to do with the temp variable (temp = BldJavaStr('a');)
when
passed to the freelocalref procedure. I just can't seem to figure
out
what's going on.
