Up to a point. But according to everything I've read on the subject, MICR toners tend to be rather more abrasive than standard toners, and from what I've read, tend to wear out printers unless they've been specifically beefed up.
Also, regarding vouchers/pay records for EFT in California, I live and work in California, and get paid by direct deposit; we don't get issued physical pay stubs any more, but we can go to the payroll service's web site to download them as needed. And when I get a reimbursement check for something I buy for the company, it's now usually printed and mailed by the bank, rather than locally, which may be another option to consider.
