Steeve, We used to call this a tier multiple. It would be part of the database and if the user would enter 3 and the tier multiple was 11, then they'd get an error. Same concept. If %rem(qtyOrd : tierMult) <> 0; // Tell the user to get a clue! endif; -Bob Cozzi www.iSeriesTV.com Ask your Manager to watch iSeriesTV.com -----Original Message----- From: rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of steema@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, September 26, 2006 1:45 PM To: rpg400-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Whole number different question HI thanks for the earlier reply's. Now I have to look at what the user is entering, and, if it doesn't divide correctly, that is, if the case pack is 6, and they change the qty from 36 to 35, this is an error. So I need to divide and I guess move the remainder to some field, see if that field is not 0, and then display the error. Thanks, Steve
