Also if you have WDSC I would recommend checking into converting to
free-format RPG...if you're new to free-format that's a good way to
learn...by converting a program you are already familiar with.

Generally speaking, the conversion allows the source to work with its
new 
RPGLE attribute.  Just ALWAYS check the report that comes out for issues

while converting the program.  Also, you can follow the tips and advices

on the archives to add more efficiency in the coding after converting, 
specially if it is stuff like RPGIII...
