Andrew missed that plain DO is not supported in free format
And, the subprocedure phobic would not like the appearance of
dow ((x=b) or (z>y))
and (this and that)
and (thisOther and ThatOther)
and soOn and soForth;
So they like
dow 1=1;
if..;
// oh crud
leave; // exit loop here
endif;
enddo;
The key point being that your exit point is now the leave code.
