I am the only one. I've received a lot of good information from you all. One even for a school here in Iowa! I will be checking them out! And the online links. I'm hoping to find something fairly quickly, hands-on so that I can get the basics down well. I can adapt from there! I'll also get some of the books mentioned, so that when questions arise I have a decent resource. I think I've heard of Jon Paris & Susan Gantner. Maybe I'll find out if they have an on-site training going on for anyone around here and see if I can join that group. I really do appreciate the suggestions I've received. Thank you. -----Original Message----- From: rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Wilt, Charles Sent: Wednesday, August 16, 2006 11:26 AM To: RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries Subject: RE: RPG training Patty, How many programmers need this? I am currently a COBOL programmer. My company has converted to use the parent company's AS400. They are strictly an RPG shop, and I've been asked to find classes to get me up and going in RPG. I will check into all suggestions that have been given! Thanks again. She doesn't want to learn RPG III, she just wants to learn RPG IV. The only classes she has found is for the old timers who know RPG III and want to know RPG IV. I would do what some have mentioned which is a local college then maybe a converence or a book. RPG isn't really hard, if you have some good examples to start with you can get a good start quickly. Assuming you have some programming expirience.
