When using *AFPDS, I have used the POSITION keyword with program-to-system fields accomplish this. Hope that helps. jstevens@mizehous er.com Sent by: To rpg400-l-bounces@ rpg400-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx midrange.com cc Subject 08/03/2006 09:34 Center field in printer file on AM IPDS Please respond to RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries <rpg400-l@midrang e.com> Hi, I'm using font 1653 and printing to an *IPDS printer, using a print file. I can't seem to get fields centered on the page. If I have a field that is 40 bytes long, and I center text with in that field, and then if I try to print that field - it won't be centered. I assume that it's because of the proportional font (1653). Does anybody have suggestions? Is there another font that would similar in size and weight (bold) to 1653 that would be uniform spacing? Is there another DDS keyword (like CENTER?) that I don't know about? Any other idea? Thanks! Jeff Stevens Mize, Houser & Co.
