It works fine to pass a pointer allocated in AG1 to a program in AG2. But the AG1 pointer would only be valid as long as AG1 was still activated; the dynamic storage gets reclaimed along with the activation group. So if the AG2 program saved off the pointer, and actgrp AG1 got reclaimed after that, then the AG2 program would not be able to access that storage.
