Actually, I'm going to skip the typically antagonistic phrasing (it takes a special kind of person to use "sucking eggs" in a technical conversation) and go straight to the "You're right" bit. Reading yours and Larry's posts I realize that he was specifically talking about using SQL to iterate over an unknown file layout.
