I read the archives about the maximum number of files. This not an OPM
program.

I am working to de-identify the fields in a payroll application
(employee number, SSN, name, etc.) for the test environment.

My current version of the program has 6 files open for input (including
3 table files), 93 files open for update, 3 printer files, and 8 files
updated via SQL.

As soon as I add another logical file for update, the SQL pre-compiler
gives me error SQL0312 Variable x not defined or not usable.

The program is also using rand / srand to generate phony SSN. It is
being compiled on a V5R3 system.

Is this the case where I will need multiple programs to handle 200+
files?

Thank you,
