Are you sure that you don't have it mis-typed in the source?

Could you have it as...

pa_infc15 = %editc(%int(wField4A:'X'))   ???

And if wField4A is char and pa_infc15 is character... what would be the
need to convert it to integer first?

What am I missing?  What is wrong with this line?

C    eval      pa_infc15 = %editc(%int(wField4A): 'X')

Where pa_infc15 is a 20-character field and wField4A is a 4-char field.

The error I am getting is:
*RNF0325 30      1 The parameter for %INT or %INTH is not valid.
