Half of the subfile in display mode and half into the add mode


hi ,

I have a requirement where  users are going to enter the data through subfile 
and once the data is enter the same data should get displayed back on screen in 
the display mode as well as at the bottom the user should be able to enter more 
data through the subile.
I am not sure if it is possible with one subfile, i have tried to do it but the 
system shows the existing records in the editable mode rather than display 
mode, 

is it possible to display the same subfile in display mode for existing records 
and then in the add mode on the same screen.
