ADDPFTRG.  When one file or the other changes a trigger program could go
check.  I got a couple of skeleton trigger programs that I use to quickly
modify for such a purpose.  Need some samples?

HI We have a situation where I wrote an RPG program that checks the file
integrity here between say our item's and the retailers (sometimes they
want their item numbers in the EDI for example), so we have to keep trck
of this relationship. My program checks several files to make sure they
are in sync.

Short of running my program every 15 minutes, what are some of the options
for automatic checking and reporting to MIS and the users?

As soon as something is out of balance, I would like to be notified.
