Unfortunately no, the header looks like this... A R LINE01 A PRT85 85 1SKIPB(1) A 55 PRTSI 17 95 This is just bizarre because I am trying to print 66 lines to a printer file that has a length of 66 and an overflow of 66. It just doesn't make sense to me. Is the printer file line number accessible in the psds? I am wondering if it might be different than the actual line number of the record I am reading for some reason? -----Original Message----- From: rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Holden Tommy Sent: Wednesday, May 03, 2006 3:22 PM To: RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries Subject: RE: Printer File Overflow... You don't happen to have a SKIPB value of 2 on your header spec do you?? I didn't word this very well... To further clarify, I should have said that when writing to the physical file, I simply indicate the line number in a field. Then when the report program reads the file it checks for line 1 to start a new page. But, in all cases, the highest line number in the file is 66. So, in this case no overflow checking "should" be necessary if everything is set at 66. In order to prevent the error from occurring I have to limit my highest line number in the file to 64. That strikes me as odd.
