In V5R3, how can I force the SQL precompiler to recognize output only
subfields of an externally described data structure defined from a printer
file record format?

d D3Detail e ds extname(JRG541PT:JRG541D3:*OUTPUT)
d tmpD3Cost 17p 5

JRG541PT is the printer file, JRG541D3 is the record format and I want to
add tmpD3Cost as a subfield to D3Detail data structure.

This compiles with an error "External file definition for OUTPUTPT not
found" (SQL1001). If I omit *OUTPUT, it compiles, but it doesn't grab any
of the fields from the printer file and only has tmpD3Cost in the data
structure.

Thanks!
