no imbedded sql. you could run your SQL statement via runsqlstm, or some variation of the EXCSQL utility (written by Martin Rowe - download his tools from dbg400.net ), to create a new table with the result set, and then open and read the file via the normal CL i/o commands. but you can't do imbedded sql in CL the way RPG does where you can fetch directly into CL variables.
