The light goes on! When you said you were using open I thought you were using open :) but what you're really using is the Integrated File System fopen API option from C runtime. In that case fopen64 should be sufficient (and you do need QC2LE). I have read where the IFS has a limit of 2 GB unless you specify Large File type. Could someone supply me with an example of how this looks in the RPGLE program. Thanks Hoss
