In a word, "No."I mean raw Unicode bytes being passed into the RPG module in a variable that, while nominally a character field, is in fact used to pass in raw bytes that already might at various times be almost any combination of character and/or zoned data (but no packed or binary).
As I recall, I simulated this in the test programs by building the Unicode data with hex literals and/or bit manipulation.
