I sorry, I think I should clarify... You can do SQL in RPG ILE.  Maybe you
got that, I just wanted to clarify that point.  I meant to ask are you
going to SQL in RPG.  If so you can do an externally described data
structure instead of using the FSPEC.

If you'd like more information... just let us know.  I can pull you a
sample RPG program of nothing but SQL...
