The DATEF field would need to be a non-date field that is already in USA
format. If DATEF is numeric, then it would need to be 8-positions long
and in MMDDYYYY formate. If DATEF is character, it would need to be 10
positions long and in  'MM/DD/YYYY' format.
I'm guessing you have an 8-position character field with the date in
MMDDYYYY format. If this is the case, you have to use *USA0 (*USA
followed by a zero) format.
