Rob, thanks for taking the lead on this issue. I did a search on book "Embedded SQL Programming" at all three versions (5.2, 5.3 & 5.4) and only 5.2 does not mention this limitation. However, I cannot see why I would have looked for this small bit of text when using the EXTNAME() keyword. The pre-compiler should state explicitly that the third parameter is not supported when the compile fails.
