You can't do this directly, but you can make the array based. Then
allocate/deallocate contiguous memory to it as needed. Just give it an
initial number, like 100. Then as you need more use the %alloc BIF or
Alloc OpCode to allocate more memory to the array, thus increasing it's
dimension. There are some examples in the archives.
