XML Programming






Creating XML is dirt simple using plain old RPG.  Unless you have to send
binary data or large CDATA structures (neither one of which should be sent
via XML), then generating XML is about as difficult as creating a comma
delimited file.  Varying field and the %trim BIF are your friend.  And if
your data is a little hinky (that is, has non-alphameric characters such 
as
angle brackets and apostrophes), you might want to use %scan and %subst.
