FTP to a physical file on an i5

I could use some help.  I am trying to FTP a text file with two records to a 
file on our i5 system.
   
  below is the text file:
    12345601234
  45678901345
  this is the dds for thr physical file:
  A          R TESTREC              
A             ITEM               6  0  
A             AMOUNT         5  2  
  below is the results from the FTP
                     
    ITEM  132333   
  AMOUNT  353.66      and
   
                      
   ITEM  132333     
 AMOUNT   Ù0.³³     
   
  any suggestions
