I know that WDSC is the wave or craze of the future but I have been keeping score on the number of problem issues that have been posted on this list and they certainly seem excessive. I like new toys as much as the next person maybe even more but WDSC just feels like a pig in a tutu. When I loaded 6.0 I thought that was a never ending task but then I immediately had to upgrade it and that was a task forever plus. We all bitch at MS for their software glitches but at least then seem to have solved the problems of software distribution. The upgrades from IBM today seem to be as bad as the old s/38 upgrades from the PID in Sawmill County. Why can't they replace they current approach of "BIG" upgrades at a relatively low frequency to one of "small" upgrades at a higher frequency. Maybe the basic design has a flaw of very large granularity and this from a company that has been breaching modularity even since ILE hit the street. I guess some of the people in the church don't listen to the sermons. OK, I have vented and feel better! Evidently it is a separate issue. I have seen some other posts on obscure member definition issues that may be cleared up. Maybe they'll work for you. Now, James, I am not saying this to be a stickler. But I think if you do take it to the WDSC list, or open a pmr with IBM, you'll get a better response from IBM. IBMers who care about WDSC do monitor that list rather faithfully. I still think that, at least part of, it has to deal with something done by someone who doesn't want to 'fess up to it. Rob Berendt
