Has anybody used this API QimgCvtImg) to convert a stream file (TIFF)on the IFS to a spooled output file? I'm trying to do that and am getting a "pointer not set for location referenced" error in the job log and no spooled file is created. This is not one of IBM's more informative error messages. Since I am not using pointers in the program, I think this message is referring to one of the parameters passed to the API. I'm guessing (only guessing since I can't find anything in the documentation) that the problem lies with the 5th parameter to the API, which is the main storage output image. I'm not sure what to code for this parameter because I'm not using it - it is only used with format IMGO0300. I'm using IMGO0200 (for spooled files), so I don't know how to code this parameter. It's entirely possible, even likely, that I've screwed up one of the other parameters too. I can post the code (146 lines) if anyone is interested, or if someone has an example of using this API for this purpose, I would appreciate some help.

Search the archives (use the OPM API name). This API was beaten into submission at least a year ago and sample code was also provided.

Simon Coulter.
