Hokey code dilemma

On my recent subfile program, the change routine, gave me some trouble.

Primarily I was displaying details of a selected rec. from the main
subfile, but had trouble when a change was made to a field (part of the
key) and at the same time there was an error cond. in one of the other
fields. Eventually I got it to work 'like a charm', but the development of
all this, left me code that I am embarrassed by, yet when I try to correct
it, the program hangs.

Time wise as well, is a problem, as this is 'finished' tho not in
production but that is only a matter of time.

Perhaps someone would be able to look at the code and make suggestions?
it's not long perhaps 50-60 lines.

Thank you,
Steve
