Hi Mike, try date format *YMD0 instead of *YMD/. With *YMD/ you'll concert your date into a character string that looks as follows: YY/MM/DD. With %DEC you can only convert charater strings that contain digits, blanks and optionally a decimal point or decimal comma. *YMD0 will convert your date into a character representation that looks as follows: YYMMDD This string can be converted into a numeric value. If you are already on release V5R3M0, it's possible to directly convert a date into a numeric presentation by using the built-in-function %DEC: MyDateNum = %Dec(MyDateChar: *YMD); Mit freundlichen Gru?en / Best regards Birgitta "Shoot for the moon, even if you miss, you'll land among the stars."
