The way to keep AGs simple is to do it right.

The belief that things are simpler if you use *Caller and run in the DAG is
a very shortsighted one that invariably falls flat on its face when you
start using service programs.  It is one of many reasons why we never
recommend even starting out that way.

Change to running your programs in a named AG.  Where needed change any
OVRs/OPNs so that they scope to the job (or call level).

Once you've done this RCLACTGRP(yourAGnamhere) will work just fine.
