I am creating a user space, set to auto-extend, and in a loop, placing a 12 alpha value in the user space, incrementing the pointer, etc. But as soon as I get to 16MB, it crashes. Is there any way to make a user space largerthan 16mb?
No, that's the maximum size of a *USRSPC. You can either string multiple *USRPSC objects together (you get to handle the linking code), use teraspace storage via the _C_TS_* APIs, or use a stream file (which could be memory-mapped).
