Has never use spawn to submit job before. Can you give me an example? I was under the impression that it need to be a threas safe program for it to work. There are actual two other procedures in this service program that allow to wait for the last submitted job. -----Original Message----- From: rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Scott Klement Sent: Wednesday, December 07, 2005 1:48 PM To: RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries Subject: Re: Detemine job completion status If you want to submit a job and wait for it to complete -- that makes sense -- just use spawn() and waitpid(). But why would you want to wait for any job that's ever been submitted from the current one?
