Larry,

How could you make such a mistake? Dear oh dear.

No problem Larry.

Again thank you for all your help.

Subject: RE: 3440:Operation not supported when trying to read an IFS
file.

Oops,

A minor (trivial) amendment to readFile:

Where we have -

      // rc will return the number of bytes read - loop while > 0...
      rc = read(fileDesc:%addr(fileData):%len(fileData));
      dow rc > 0;
        rc = read(fileDesc:%addr(fileData):%len(fileData));
        printf(fileData);
      enddo;

replace with -

      // rc will return the number of bytes read - loop while > 0...
      rc = read(fileDesc:%addr(fileData):%len(fileData));
      dow rc > 0;
        printf(%subst(fileData:1:rc));
        rc = read(fileDesc:%addr(fileData):%len(fileData));
      enddo;

This just ensures tha data written to the console is correct - it doesn't
affect any of the IFS interactions.

Apologies

Larry Ducie
