Bill,You can define an input inhibited input field (data type 'I'; use 'I') with ENTFLDATR(*NOCURSOR). If it is the only input field, the cursor will automatically go there and should be invisible. One teeny, weeny little problem: works well on a terminal, but on an emulator (well, IBM's anyway) you still see the cursor.

When displaying a screen that's for informational purposes only the cursor defaults to the upper left of the display. Is there a way to make it so the cursor does not display at all on such screens? I've never been able to figure out how to do this in DDS so I was wondering if there's an RPG solution or maybe someone knows a DDS solution.-Bill
